  1. How did I do without it ? Review by Bill

I spent some considerable time researching before I opted for this tablet. I have had it for a month now and I am delighted with it. I am new to Android but have found it a dream to experiment with. The choice of apps pre installed covered most requirements but it is so easy to install, and uninstall others. It works perfectly using our wireless BT hub and I have just bought a 'Three' Huawei E353 3G dongle which works a treat. Just plug it in and enable Data. Nearly forgot to mention Gadgetfreaks pre and post sales service which was excellent. Thanks. (Posted on 28/05/2012)

  2. Great build quality Review by Vega

This is probably the best tablet you can get for this price. *Much* better build quality than Archos devices. You'll notice right away that the product is solid and sturdy. Gadgetfreakz even remap the top rocker buttons so that they adjust volume, and install Play Store and a few other apps - so everything works straight out of the box. The Wi-Fi pickup is good - better reception than my far more expensive Acer A500! The touch screen is very responsive - again, better than some ofthe Big Brands I've tried.

I did a lot of digging before diving in and buying this Tab, and I am pretty much certain you cannot get better for 120 quid. If it wasn't called 'Ainol', these would sell out everywhere. (Posted on 09/05/2012)

I got one of these for myself and being totally impressed by the product for price, I have now purchased one for the wife. Gadget freakz offer a superb, quality service. It really is a great piece of kit for the price! after reading some of the other comments about charger, I do agree, the charger does seem a little 'flimsy', but we now charge ours using the usb cable via standard usb charger (iPad/iPhone suitable) and this still charges the device in 4 hrs.
All in all, if your in the market for an Android tab, you wont be disappointed with this little beauty! (Posted on 30/04/2012)

Ordered the Elf (for my nephew, seriously thinking of getting one for myself too) on Sunday night, recieved it wednesday in perfect condition.

The tablet itself is a lovely piece of kit. Far more sturdy and well built than I expected, it feels great in the hand. I've never used an android tab before and it was simple and elegant to use. Kudos must go to GadgetFreakz here too, their tweaking of the system to have it run so smoothly out of the box is wonderful. The screen (i know this one is considered inferior to the Aurora) is more than adequate and 1080p video is smooth and detailed. The screen interface is quite quick too, no lag that i could see. Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja all run smoothly.

Haven't had time to try everything yet, but simple stuff like connecting wi-fi etc is a breeze.

My only qualm straight out of the box is the charger which seems a little flimsy and the adaptor provided (kudos again to GF for having this covered) feels a little lightweight. I'm sure they are both fine but its the only thing even slightly bad I can say, I even feel bad saying it :).

In conclusion, so far I'm more than happy. After reading about some peoples experience ordering straight from China I'm more than glad I went the extra expense ordering from GF just for service, ease of use straight out the box and piece of mind if anything does go wrong.

Well played GF. (Posted on 18/04/2012)

Got the Tablet just over 3 weeks ago and I am very happy with it, never had it out of my hands.Love the way the boys from Gadgetfreaks set it up works brilliant, my thanks to the team fast delivery, and good backup when you need answers to questions.Looking forward to one coming out with a built in modem and 3g card slot. As a 69 year old pensioner I really like the voice activated search in ICS works a treat not had any problems with the system so far. Thanks again to Gadgetfreakz will be watching for your new stuff coming out. Having owned and sold my Advent Vega, I decided I wanted another tablet to mess with but something not too dear and stumbled on the elf, and am I glad I did. This is a little gem and comes with ICS (which I haven't even got on my Xperia S yet) anybody looking for a small tablet for not too much which works needs to get this (Posted on 17/04/2012)

  8. Amazing tablet for the price Review by Sagz

I bought this little Elf for my other half, but I think I've used it more than him! It's very responsive, simple to use (good job as the instruction book is only in Chinese!) and runs every app I've (sorry, 'we've') installed beautifully. If it had 3g it would be perfect - but at the price it's excellent value for money.

GadgetFreakz customer service has been excellent, even answering my email questions on Easter Sunday!
Well Done Guys :-) (Posted on 13/04/2012)

  10. Pretty pleased so far Review by Brad

    First the only negative:
My unit was actually not even put together properly. The gap between the top half and bottom half looked uneven. Further investigation revealed that it needed to be clicked back together. After I did this though it feels pretty sturdy. I guess it could have rattled apart during transport? So, either GadgetFreakz' QC or the build quality are questionable but I can't tell which.

I just put Word with Friends and Draw Something (this is for my daughter's birthday) on there and all seems to be well. It seems reasonably nippy for an Android device. I'll do a follow up review once she's used it for a bit. So far I would definitely recommend this Android device and gadgetfreakz as a retailer. (Posted on 10/04/2012)
